christopherChristopher Wickenden graduated from Drama Centre in 2011. This year he has appeared in 3 adverts for Cbeebies, HPI, and Betfair as an elephant, a disappointingly small blind date and a football fan respectively. Recent theatre includes the Guard in Deathwatch for the ‘Accidental Festival’ at the Roundhouse Theatre, and Smerdyakov in an adaptation of ‘The Brothers Karamazov’ at the Lord Stanley Theatre. Christopher has also worked extensively with Counter Productions. He co-devised, wrote and starred in the absurd comedy ‘Snakebite’ at The Courtyard Theatre and is currently devising a new play and musical with the same company. Other theatre includes Medviedenko in ‘The Seagull,’ Kosich in ‘Ivanov’ and Sebastian Horsley from ‘A Dandy in The Underworld.’

gemmaGemma Seren is a Welsh actress/singer with experience in film, television and theatre. She was a lead vocalist in the National UK Tour of ‘The Show Must Go On’ and played the role of Michaela in ‘Gay School Musical’. She has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the Guardian newspaper and competed in the OffCut Theatre Festival. Most recently, she made her debut at the prestigious Phoenix Arts Club. Gems would like to dedicate her performances to her Dad. No longer with us, but always sitting in the front row.
victoriaVictoria Barker graduated from the Urdang Academy in 2009 and went on to dance in music videos, cabarets and in shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium and the O2. Her theatre credits include The One (Dominion Theatre), Random Acts of Strangers, Primrose Hill Ladies Club (both at The Courtyard and directed by Gary Wright), Orestes (The Space), and more recently Victoria toured the UK with Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty and the Wizard of Oz. She has been in commercials for Olliepops and Phillips Lumalive; TV credits include Fashion Wizards (Disney), Flash Prank-Ariel Abuse (MTV) and John Bishop’s Britain (BBC1), as well as feature films Jack Falls and St Trinians 2;Legend of Frittons Gold. Victoria collaborated with Alan, Gary and Gemma for the first musical she was involved in and she is delighted to be working with them again.

filipPrior to training at East 15 Acting School (BA Acting) and Drama Centre (MA in Classical European Acting), Filip Krenus studied English Language and Literature at the University of Zagreb. His theatre credits include: King Lear and Dido, Queen of Carthage (Spring Season at Greenwich Theatre), Bent by Martin Sherman (Landor Theatre/Tabard Theatre), School for Scandal (for Red Handed Theatre Company, directed by Jessica Swale), Orestes – Re-Examined (Southwark Playhouse), Peer Gynt (Riverside Studios), Hell Screen (Oval House), Richard III and Macbeth (for the Faction Theatre Company), The Rivals (Camden People’s Theatre), Jane Eyre adapted by Polly Teale (Brockley Jack Theatre) and Shakespeare Inc. (Rosemary Branch Theatre). In Short Shrift – Season of Contemporary Croatian Drama, which he has also produced for Honey-tongued Theatre Productions, he has taken part in rehearsed readings of A Play About Mirjana and Those Around Her by Ivor Martinić (directed by Gary Wright), and Invisible by Tena Štivičić (directed by Eyal Israel) at RADA Studios. Filip has also toured as a singer with Caburlesque.

michaelMichael Swatton graduated from The Oxford School of Drama in September 2012. He

also holds a degree in Philosophy. Recent theatre includes: Charlie in

“Defining Moments of Truth and Deception” at The Soho Theatre. Harry in

“Love and Other Vegetables” at The Old Red Lion. Rich, a passionate cockney

playwright in “Make Believe” at The Hen and Chickens. Sanjin in

“L.O.S.E.R.S” at The R.A.D.A studios. Dan in the murder mystery play “Cold

Smoke” at The Old Sorting Office Joseph White in “Ravens” which toured

Kent and East Sussex by horse and cart through the Summer. Most recently

Michael played Sgt Mark Woodforde in “Dreams from the Pit” for Remembrance

day at The Palace Theatre.

patrickPatrick Neyman graduated from Drama Centre in 2011. He recently went to Glasgow with a one-man show, ‘Hunter’, written by Honey-tongued associate writer Anthony Bull and also directed by Gary Wright, which then transferred to the Tabernacle in Notting Hill Gate in September. Before that he has appeared as Eadric in ‘Silence’ at The Brockley Jack, Adrien in ‘A Woman of No Importance, or Somewhat Little Importance Anyhow’ at The Hen and Chickens and as the Devil and Rakitin in ‘The Brothers Karamazov’ at The Lord Stanley. More recently he played Brackenbury/King Edward in ‘Richard III’ and Pisanio/Caius Lucius in ‘Cymbeline’ at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival and is taking part in the launch of Honey-tongued READINGS with ‘The Maid of Bankside’ by Anthony Bull at the Jermyn Street Theatre, directed by Gary Wright. His first collaboration with Honey-tongued Theatre Productions was at Short Shrift – Season of Contemporary Croatian Drama where he appeared in ‘A Play About Mirjana and Those Around Her’ by Ivor Martinić at the RADA Studios. Future work includes ‘The Collective Project’ at the Camden People’s Theatre.

garyGary Wright was originally trained as a dancer and has worked with many international companies.

His recent directing work for the theatre includes: A Christmas Carol (Drill Hall), Dick Whittington – Another Dick in City Hall (Kings Head), Life’s a Gas & Not Going Down (Kings Head), Carnival of the Animals (Taplow Festival), Gay School Musical (Kings Head), The Random Acts of Strangers (Courtyard & Etcetera Theatres). Karaoke Show, A Play About Mirjana And Those Around Her for Short Shift – Season of Contemporary Croatian Drama (RADA Studios), Hunter which opened in Glasgow in May and then transferred to The Tabernacle in London.

Film credits include: Solitary, Muses, Mine,Bummer  Apart from being the associate director for the Honey-tongued Theatre Productions, Gary is also an associate director for BaDaS Theatre Company and guest director for Bedlamb Theatre Company.  Next year, he is set to direct another three plays by Anthony Bull.

filip-producerFilip Krenus set up Honey-tongued Theatre Productions in 2012. aiming to create a cultural bridge between the United Kingdom and South-Eastern Europe. He set up and produced the first festival of Croatian contemporary drama in London, Short Shrift, which was sponsored by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the United Kingdom. The event, featuring five top Croatian playwrights and bringing to London some of the best young Croatian actors and directors, was a part of the Welcome Croatia – festival celebrating Croatia joining the EU.

He has recently launched Honey-tongued READINGS – a series of rehearsed readings of both British and South-Eastern European plays which opens with a new play by associate writer Anthony Bull The Maid of Bankside at Jermyn Street Theatre. The play was developed with Shakespeare’s Globe.

He has also set up Honeybear Youth Theatre, the children’s theatre branch of Honey-tongued Theatre Productions and Hedgehog’s Home is its first production.

In Croatia, Filip has collaborated with several theatre companies. He has translated the comedy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare – Abridged for Teatar EXIT, one of the most acclaimed Croatian theatres. The translation served as a basis for the Croatian version of the project for which he was also assistant director.

He also translated the works of the following playwrights into Croatian: Steven Berkoff, Jim Cartwright, Philip Ridley, Briony Lavery, Clare Dowie, Langford Wilson. For Short Shrift, he translated into English the plays by Croatian playwrights Vlatka Vorkapić and Dino Pešut. He is currently working on producing the UK premiere of Gloria by Ranko Marinković, a Croatian classic play which he has also translated into English.

Filip also translates for audio-visual media and is praised for his translations for the Croatian National Television.

James Billington‘s theatre credits include: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (National Tour), Aladdin (National Tour), Company Swing (M and M Productions), Alice in Wonderland (National Tour), Jack and The Beanstalk (National Tour), Don Carlos (Blue Elephant Theatre), All Said and Done (Lyric Hammersmith), Macbeth (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival), Candida (Greenwich Playhouse), Agamemnon (The Courtyard), Macbeth (Blue Elephant Theatre), The White Devil (Blue Elephant Theatre) and Road (Royal and Derngate).

This is the first time James has worked as an Assistant Director and is thrilled to be working with the Honey-tongued Theatre Productions.

Unai Telleria Bolinaga was born in Elgeta Gipuzkua, Basque Country, Spain, and trained at Catalan Institute of Fashion. He has worked extensively in theatre and film, as well as fashion designer and stylist for international campaigns.

On film, he has was part of the costume team for Perfume – The Story of a Murderer, (Constantin Film/Dreamworks, 2006).

Unai has worked with Robert Wilson in Spain, Nacha Guevara in Argentina and the contemporary dance company Ballet Revolucion (touring in Cuba, Australia and the UK).

Hedgehog’s Home is Unai’s second collaboration with Honey-tongued Theatre Productions having previously worked on costume design for the upcoming project Gloria by Ranko Marinković.

alan-meggsAlan Meggs trained in dance at the Arts Educational Schools, London.

Work includes: several years as assistant choreographer for a dance company in Italy, assistant choreographer for Directo en la noche (RTV Spain), movement director for The Ministry of Pleasure (Latchmere), The Lunatic Queen (Riverside Studios) and Gay School Musical (Above the Stag), assistant and resident director Chess the Musical (UK tour), resident director, Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (UK tour)

Alan has choreographed productions of Grease, Godspell and Carmen for various performing arts schools.

He is also Artist in Residence at Sir Henry Floyd Grammar and Performing Arts School, Aylesbury and is on the Committee of the Make a Difference Trust (HIV/AIDS Charity).

Currently, he is the company stage manager for Cinders at Emporium, Brighton.

davorDavor Pukljak is a graphic and web designer who lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.

He has collaborated with Honey-Tongued Theatre Productions from its beginning and has created the company’s visual indentity as well as all the promotional material for HTTP’s projects: Short Shrift – Season of Contemporary Croatian Drama (RADA Studios), Honey-tongued READINGSGloria by Ranko Marinković (in development) and now Hedgehog’s Home – The Musical.

After training as a graphic designer at the University of Zagreb, Davor has developed his skills at the web department of Croatian Telekom where he worked in marketing, branding and project management.

In 2010 he decided to steer his career in a different, more creative direction and set up his own company Frontispis. He has worked on branding and web design for numerous Croatian and South East European companies.

Davor is thrilled to be involved in HTTP’s theatre projects and is proud to be a member of our team.

deaDea Jagić was born in Zagreb. She graduated from The School of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 2002 and then continued to graduate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Department of Animation and New Media. She graduated with the with the short animated and experimental film Objekti (Objects).

Her work includes:

Animator on an experimental film about Nikola Tesla Mechanical figures (2009), animator, designer and co-director on project The Cattime Stories which was shown on Cartoon Forum and Cinekid (2010), animator for Time Machine (Zagreb Film, 2012). She has also worked as an animator and designer for interactive web platform for Firefly (2010-2011).

Dea has also worked as an illustrator for Nestle products.

In 2013, she has illustrated a children’s book and completed a PR video for the top designer firm BiŽ in Croatia and animation intro for Dubrovnik Film Festival.

She is currently working on her first film as an author: Wake Me Up. The project is supported by The Croatian Visual Centre and the City of Zagreb.

Dea lives and works in Zagreb.

manningPaul Manning was born in Greenwich, South London.

He is a freelance film maker and photographer most well known for his voluntary work in the realms of charity films and sports documentary.  He is Producer of the hugely successful ‘SHU Rugby’ series of fundraising films (which have become a global hit, and have even been shown on Spanish and South Korean TV!) and is Project Manager of the annual Rugby Helps Our Heroes charity project.

In 2010 he set up, an umbrella project that pulls together the various different charity projects, theatre work and sports broadcasting work that he is involved with.

Through this project he has been involved in production, filming, photography, design and editing, and so far manningsportsmedia has raised over £50,000 for charities including Help for Heroes, Prostate Cancer UK, The Exotic Pet Refuge and various community sports groups.

Paul is thrilled to be working with Honey Tongued Theatre Productions again, having previously worked with them documenting the Short Shrift Croatian Drama Festival at the RADA Studios, London, in Summer 2013.

Also in 2013 Paul was Editing Assistant to American film installation artist Edgar Arceneaux during his UK exhibition at ArtSheffield, and worked as Second Camera Unit on the feature length documentary ‘Still Born, Still Loved’ for Big Buddha Films.

Paul is the Matchday Director with Claremont Media Group, directing the live broadcast at Rotherham United FC, and organising media content for BBC TV.

He is currently studying MArt Film & Media Production at Sheffield Hallam University.
